Fall NY Now Market Wrap-Up

It's hard to believe it's been almost three weeks since I was in NYC for market!  I have only spent a total sum of seven of the last 26 days back home in Jackson since attending the show.
With back to back installation deadlines on two different out of town projects following my return from market, I have been the proverbial "one armed paper hanger."  Thank you, first, to my children, Abigail and Charles, who have endured a 'mother in absentia' during the first week of school, first AND second 'home' football games and all the other 'firsts' of the new school year!  Thank you second to my staff for "holding up the rear."

Back to the blog... NYNOW Fall 2015: It was great to visit with vendors and see their latest introductions. Take a look at just a few that will be arriving at the shop in the upcoming months!

Judy Jackson Stoneware. I have admired Judy's work for years. From bright and vibrant hues to delicate and smoky whites, her vessels are both modern and versatile.

Soko. The artisan craft industry is the second largest employer in the developing world. It is also the most disenfranchised. With that in mind, Soko was founded on the belief that innovation can empower women, can connect markets, and can foster opportunities that change lives. Each piece is designed and made by different artisans from across the globe.

Rule of Three may look familiar because we already carry this beautiful line of hand marbleized silk pillows in the shop! I caught up with Rule of Three's founder, Paige Cleveland (below).  She is so talented. Paige has expanded her offerings this season. Since I saw her last, she has added custom, hand marbleized silk, fully lined curtains, lampshades, upholstered ottomans, and framed art panels to her line.  In addition are new and stunning colorways of her boutique custom pillow line!

Walter G presented handsomely designed, graphic patterned pillows at the show - shades of greige, chalk, indigo and saffron - the color palate was striking and specific. Best of all, they're already at the shop! A duo from Australia, Walter G's designs are hand blocked and unique with, as they describe, a "livable" feel and look.

I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Talini Home's display of custom bedding.  Disguisedly   simple, their work is incredibly rich in the attention to detail and workmanship.  I can not wait to get our display set up in the shop. I have no doubt this line will sell itself!

Most Modest's newest "power pendant" named Niko will also make it's way to shop soon.
