Favorite Projects of 2014

How has another year come and gone? With the start of the new year, I can't help but think about the designs from the last year that I'm really proud to have been a part of. In 2014, JHAI worked on various projects ranging from commercial to residential - even a church! Here's just a few snapshots to look back on from 2014:

After Fondren Church moved from Duling School to nearby Woodland Hills Baptist Church, they began to look at upgrading the existing lobby and other spaces. We worked with them to furnish these spaces, playing off the look they had in their former "The 'Sip" space meant for gathering and coffee before services.

On the residential side, this past year we were part of a new construction project in Point Clear, Alabama. The vacation home we worked on was a great opportunity to experiment with the juxtaposition of timeless elements characteristic of Old Bay homes and the homeowner's aesthetic for interior appointments which reflect her own artistic nature.

One project we are very proud of - our own! This summer Joan Hawkins Art & Interiors made a change and moved into Duling School.

Our resource library moved with us and still offers a large inventory of swatches and samples.

We are excited to get started in 2015 with new work and designs for clients. If you haven't been by the shop since the move, come see us! We have new things coming in from market and I'm traveling in the first part of the year to look for pieces to come in later this season. Here's to 2015!
